Bylaws can be found on our Resources page. You can find other FAQs here.
Note, this is an uncontested Board Ballot. Nominations were received during the months of March/April.
Board Voting closes May 12th at 5pm. Board will be announced at the May 12th PTO meeting.
I’m Amanda Mizell, and I’m your nominee for President (3rd Term). I’m a frazzled, mom to Amelia (4th grade), Caleb (3rd grade), Simon (fur baby), and Pikachu (feathered baby). If you haven’t heard already, I’m also married to Chance – the costume guy. We've lived in Gladden since 2011, and I’m just amazed at how much our community has flourished over the years.
With a background in Business Information Systems and my time working with non-profit associations, I’ve had the opportunity to explore various roles, from database administration, association board/committee management, project management, social media marketing, and event planning. I've been fortunate that these roles have helped bring so many great events and experiences to our school. I’m honored to be nominated for President again; it has been a very busy 2 years and I’m eager to see what next year brings.
New this year - I was nominated and have accepted a position on the MUSD 2340 Foundation Board. Over my next 2 terms I will be assisting with the Engagement Committee and representing not only MUSD, but I hope to be a voice for all district PTOs, parents, and our school.
I look forward to continuing my role here at GFE while also expanding support for our students, teachers, and staff at district level.
The GFE PTO is thrilled to highlight Janelle Mendoza as our nominee for Vice President again!

She loves getting to participate in activities that mean so much to all of our children.
Janelle is the proud momma of one child at Gladden, in 4th grade, and an incoming kindergartner. “I’ve seen the support and care this school and the PTO gives to each and every one of its students and staff. I would love the opportunity to cointinue being that positive influence.”

She enjoys chatting with people, and loves setting goals to keep motivated. With her family, she loves attending school events and is excited to help bring more fun, funds, and amazing raffle prizes to GFE.

We are very excited to highlight Jill Sheridan as our nominee for a new position - Creative Engagement Director!
For the '25 - '26 school year Jill has been working as our Communication Chair, but, over time we realized that she has a very particular set of skills to be harnessed and that have already begun to benefit our school community. This realization brought about the creation of our new Creative Engagement Director position. Jill will become a bridge between our student organizations (Student Council), counselors, teachers, and staff to work in-house (still a volunteer position) on activities that promote kindness, school pride, and encourge community involvement. This year we've soft-launched, but we're excited to get our creative juices flowing for next year.
Jill is a proud stay-at-home mom to William (2nd grade). Before stepping into full-time motherhood, she worked in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics. A Gladden Farms resident since 2019, Jill stays active in the community as a coach for 8U lacrosse with the Marana Reapers.
Jill brings with her some big PTO energy! She loves volunteering and is passionate about supporting our students, staff, and GFE families to help create a safe, welcoming, and fun learning environment. Jill says she's excited for the opportunity to serve as our new Creative Engagement Director for the 2026–2027 school year!
